Abstract

Today, effectiveness is the most important goal of organizations and knowledge is the most critical source of organizational competition. Hence, the aim of this study was to examine the impact of knowledge management on the effectiveness of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with emphasis on the role of mediator organizational wisdom. The research method was descriptive-correlational, and was conducted using the structural equation method. The statistical population of the study consisted of all employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which included 400 people and the sample size was determined using the Cochran formula, such that finally, after the distribution and collection of data, 192 questionnaires were used for analysis. The data gathering tool was a standardized organizational wisdom, organizational effectiveness and knowledge management questionnaires whose validity was confirmed by a survey of sports management professors and its reliability in a preliminary study through Cronbach's alpha was 0.86, 0.89 and 0.78, respectively. Data analysis was conducted at the level of inferential statistics using structural equations. The findings showed that knowledge management had a direct impact on organizational effectiveness, and knowledge management through organizational wisdom had an indirect effect on organizational effectiveness. The results suggest to managers of sports organizations that they should take advantage of organizational wisdom as a variable affecting knowledge management, which ultimately results to organizational effectiveness.
