Abstract

The present study aims to develop a communication model of organizational culture and knowledge management effectiveness with the mediating role of organizational intelligence by investigating a sample of physical education (PE) teachers in East Azarbaijan province. A descriptive-survey method was adopted in the present study. The statistical population consisted of all PE teachers in the east Azararbaijan province (n=1312 people (635 women and 677 men) in 2018-2019 academic year. The Cochrane table was used to determine the sample size (n=302), and participants were selected using cluster random sampling from different cities of the province. Three questionnaires including the organizational culture assessment instrument developed by Cameron and Quinn (2006), management knowledge questionnaire developed by Ranjbar (2009) and organizational intelligence questionnaire developed by Albrecht (2003) were used for data collection. Descriptive statistical methods, repeated measures variance analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were employed for data analysis. The results showed that organizational culture, knowledge management effectiveness and organizational intelligence were significantly and positively correlated and organizational intelligence played a mediating role in the relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management effectiveness. According to the findings of the study, greater attention should be paid to the factors of organizational culture, knowledge management effectiveness and organizational intelligence and their communication model in order to boost the success of PE teachers in East Azarbaijan province.
