Abstract
The current research was designed with the aim of developing a technology empowerment model for faculty members in the field of sports management. The current research was mixed in terms of the practical purpose and the method of data collection. The tool used in the qualitative part of the research was a semi-structured interview and in the quantitative part, a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical population of the present research in the qualitative part includes prominent professors in the field of sports management who had conducted research in the field of empowerment. Also, the statistical population of the current research in the quantitative part included the members of the sports management faculty of public and independent universities. The number of official professors (official and full-time employment) of sports management in public and private universities of the country are 118 and 211 respectively, of which, according to Morgan's table, randomly, 92 are public university professors. And 136 professors of Islamic Azad University were selected as samples. The method of data analysis of the qualitative part in the current research was thematic analysis. Also, structural equation method was used in the quantitative part.The results showed that 25 categories were extracted after conducting research interviews and open coding. The current research showed that infrastructure, attitude, organizational, individual, motivational, digital literacy and education are among the effective factors in the direction of technology empowerment of sports management faculty members.
