Abstract

Based on this, the aim of the current research is to present and expand the theoretical framework of physical literacy in educational environments so that it can provide a clear understanding of this concept for the main beneficiaries of physical education in schools. In terms of methodology, this research is based on the qualitative approach of research synthesis with the focus on systematic review. The study sample is of secondary document type with an emphasis on Latin articles 2018-2023. The process of screening and adjusting studies has been done using the flow of screening and adjusting studies (PRISMA, 2020). The method of document analysis is also theme analysis which was done manually and model design was also done using ATLAS.TI software. Evidence quality criteria of " credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability" were adopted throughout the data collection and analysis processes. Based on the inductive thematic analysis of related literature, the vital elements of physical literacy have been integrated and developed in four physical domains, cognitive domain, psychological-emotional domain, and social-behavioural domain. The implementation of physical literacy also depends on the presence of trained instructors, meaningful and fun experiences, motivational environment and empowerment physical literacy programs for students. It is also possible to use TARGET educational strategies such as diverse distribution of work, delegation of power and decision making, positive relationships, diverse grouping, constructive evaluation strategy and the element of time, in order to create a motivational atmosphere for the development of physical literacy among students.
