Abstract
The present study investigates the quality improvement strategies of physical education lessons in secondary schools in Kahrizak district of Tehran. The research method was qualitative and used the content analysis procedures of Brown and Clark (2006). The statistical population was formed by experts in the field of education. The sampling method was purposeful and criterion-based. The measurement tool was semi-structured interviews, which the researcher reached theoretical saturation with 17 interviews and the data collection process was completed with 17 people. The Member Checking Method was used to examine the validity of the qualitative findings. The findings showed that the quality improvement strategies for physical education lessons consist of: educating citizens and promoting health; educational design and content; teaching and learning methods; teacher training and development; extracurricular activities and sports events; providing facilities and infrastructure; and technology and cyberspace. These strategies are designed to improve the quality of education and enhance students' learning levels in physical education lessons. Accordingly, improving the quality of physical education lessons requires a comprehensive and coordinated approach that encompasses all educational, social, and infrastructural aspects. This approach should be designed in a way that, while educating healthy and active citizens, also focuses on improving educational processes and social participation. Finally, given the increasing importance of technology and cyberspace, it is recommended to create appropriate platforms for the effective use of these opportunities in physical education and to provide the necessary infrastructure.
