Abstract
This qualitative research was conducted with the aim of developing a model of factors influencing students' choice of sports field with emphasis on family contexts and using data-based theory based on the Strauss-Corbin approach. Educational and student sports experts, including sports management professors with works related to educational and student sports studies, managers and officials of sports organizations (student sports, related federations and education) formed coaches and teachers and Purposive sampling method until reaching the theoretical saturation limit, 20 people participated in the interview. For data analysis, open coding, axial coding and selective coding were used. While conducting a semi-structured interview with the experts, a set of primary themes were collected during the recoding process and categories were extracted from them. In the central coding stage, the link between the categories under the headings of causal conditions including intra-individual factors, extra-individual factors and macro factors, contextual factors including individual contexts, educational contexts and macro contexts, intervening conditions including elements of growth and development, educational obstacles and Limiting elements, strategies including family-personal strategies, macro-strategies and sports strategies and for outcomes including the flourishing of student sports, the growth of student sports and the improvement and strengthening of the talent search system were determined in the form of a coding paradigm.
