Understanding the lived experience of the sport volunteers of the students cultural-sports Olympiads

Abstract
volunteers play a vital role in the sport sector in supporting the delivery of sport, providing independent governance, contributing to community capacity building and supporting sport for development programmes and the delivery of government policy agendas associated with sport. The aim of this research is to analyze the lived experience of the sport volunteers from participating in the students cultural-sports Olympiads, that was done with a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach. The participants were selected through the purposeful sampling method (n=24). Data was collected through in-depth interviews and reflective conversations and also analyzed by the seven step Diekelmann, Allen & Tanner approach (1989). Attempting to develop the basic capital of life, it was the main theme. Also, the three categories of sub-themes were obtained, which include the gaining social capital, enriching of cultural capital and work and economic perspectives. Hence it can be noted that the lived experience of the sport volunteers of the students cultural-sports Olympiads is attempting to develop the fundamental capital of their lives
