Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to determine the relation of empowerment and organizational justice (OG) with OCB of Physical Education faculty members. Using Correlation research methodology, the population were all the Physical Education faculty members and Tehran province PE members of IAU (N=182). To select samples total numbering method was used and 130 questionnaires were completed. Variant measurement tools were consists of Spreitzer Empowerment questionnaire (1995), Nidhof & Mooman OG questionnaire (1993) and Podsakoff OCB questionnaire (1990). After the confirmation of questionnaires validity by experts, the reliability was obtained equal to 0.91, 0.84 and 0.87 using Cronbach’s Alpha score. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Using structural equation modeling (SEM), research theoretical model was approved. (CFI: 0.92, NFI: 0.93, AGF: 0.91 X2/df: 2.83) Analyzing the results we concluded that there is a positive significant relationship between the faculty members’ sense of OG and their OCB. Also, the results showed that there is a positive significant relationship between faculty members’ Empowerment and their OCB. In other words, positive attitude and belief in Physical Education faculty members regarding their careers as well as their perception towards fair job conditions at Islamic Azad University could increase their sense of belonging to the university and resulting behaviors beyond their official job description, in connection with the student, college or university.
