Abstract

The Purpose of the present study was pathology of sport associations in Physical Education Administration of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. This study is a qualitative research which conducted through half-structured interviews for data gathering. Grounded theory approach was implied to determine research scheme, selecting participants and gathering data, arranging data, analyzing and theory making. Sampling method was snowball approach which 38 people were determined according to theoretical saturation. Statistical samples included past and current managers of physical education administration, all the current staff of this department and administers of sport associations. According to the results of interviews was identified 64 signs in the open coding. Then in the axial coding Were classified 14 Components which were independency of sport associations, sport structure, research and education, budgeting, human resource, facilities, student desire for sport, annual planning for associations, categorizing universities, university sport, organizational interactions and guidelines, qualification, expectation from sport associations, monitoring and control. According to the findings, the most important factor that could be the core factor was independency of sport associations. Then in selective coding, with respect to the components identified, the general theory proposed, Appointed strengthen of situation of sport associations and refer them in development and progress of sports in Iran's university sport. Eventually is proposed to maintain independence, Student Sports Association under the supervision of the Physical Education Department of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and coordinated by Student Sports Federation to the survival of the organization and operation pay.
