Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence training on throwing accuracy, bimanual coordination, balance and refocusing among athlete’s teenagers. The research method was quasi-experimental and its statistical population was all students of 14-16 years old in ShahreKord city of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. For this reason, 92 Volunteer students (46 boys and 46 girls) were selected with simple random sampling method and divided into two experimental and control groups. Measuring tools research involved the Bradberry and Greaives emotional intelligence questionnaire, refocusing sub scale of Ottawa Mental States Assessment Tool (OMSAT-3) and series of motor tests (static and dynamic balance, accuracy, and bimanual coordination). The emotional intelligence training program for teenager athletes was performed during 10 sessions.
