Abstract
The different nature of the physical education in schools compared to other courses has brought the unique experiences of the teachers of this course during virtual education. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the lived experience of physical education teachers from educating in the SHAD network (student educational network), which was carried out using a qualitative approach and a descriptive phenomenological design. The participants of the research were physical education teachers of the second year of middle school in Tabriz city, who were selected by the purposeful criterion-based sampling method, and the process of selecting participants and conducting interviews continued until data saturation (14th interview). In order to collect data, in-depth semi-structured interview was used and to data qualitative content analysis, Colaizzi's method was used. Based on the experiences of the participants and the analysis of the interviews, four main categories (challenges related to the teacher-learner, technical-infrastructural challenges and cultural-social challenges and training opportunities in virtual space) and 15 sub-categories were extracted. According to the results, it can be said that the teaching of physical education has been accompanied by challenges and opportunities due to its practical nature in the student education network context, which is expected to be held by upgrading software and platforms more appropriate to the nature of practical courses, holding training courses for Beneficiaries and the use of alternative and complementary methods in accordance with educational goals overcame the problems.
