The aim of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of motor play-based training on cognitive performance, quality of life, and social skills among primary school students. The research method was quasi-experimental in nature and categorized as applied research. The statistical population included all primary school students aged 8 to 10 in Mazandaran Province during the 2020–2021 academic year, totaling approximately 192,000 students. Due to certain limitations, the sample size was determined using G*Power software (version 1.3). A total of 25 students were selected for both the experimental and control groups. data collection instruments included the Social Skills Rating System by Gresham and Elliott (1990) – Student Version, the KIDSCREEN Health-Related Quality of Life questionnaire, and the Tower of London task. The experimental group underwent a 36-session intervention over the course of three months (three sessions per week). Each session lasted between 30 and 45 minutes, during which the students received motor play-based training. analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used for data analysis. The results indicated that motor play-based training had a significant positive effect on cognitive performance (P < 0.01), quality of life (P < 0.01), and social skills (P < 0.01) of the primary school students. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that motor play-based training can effectively enhance cognitive performance, improve quality of life, and foster social skills in primary school students, thereby contributing to an overall improvement in their life satisfaction.
